4Life Has Changed Our Lives

The following is another great dream story, submitted by long-time 4Life distributors, Neil and Patty Trammell.

We achieved the Presidential Diamond rank two years after we learned about 4Life Transfer Factor^® and became part of the 4Life family. And it truly is a family. We share the power of 4Life Transfer Factor with our relatives, friends, and fellow 4Life distributors. When we joined 4Life, we were in 70s, looking for better ways to support our health, as well as supplemental income sources. Now, seven years after being introduced to 4Life Transfer Factor, we are still enjoying the health benefits of 4Life products and appreciating a very rewarding income through building our 4Life business. We also attended a Great Escape+ vacation in Hawaii and that was definitely a highlight of our experience. Being with 4Life truly has changed our lives.

The picture below was taken at a past 4Life convention. We encourage everyone, who possibly can, to attend the convention this September in Salt Lake City, Utah. There is always so much to learn, and it's a wonderful opportunity to meet and visit with distributors from all over the world. And besides that, it is a lot of fun.

Techniques That Help Us Achieve Goals

Recently, we read a quote by a very wise and successful man. He said, "I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don't set goals in our life and learn how to master the techniques of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life, only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential. When one learns to master the principles of setting a goal, he will then be able to make a great difference in the results he attains." (An address given by American businessman Russell Ballard to young adults in Salt Lake City, Utah)

As we thought about this quote we were struck by the importance of not only setting goals but also mastering the techniques that will help us achieve them. 4Life is dedicated to giving people the tools and training they need to achieve their goals. This is exactly what 4Life conventions, Leader in You academies, the 90 Days of Power Challenge, and even the 4Life pages on Facebook and Twitter^™ are all about.

None of us wants to reach a "ripe old age" and realize that we did not reach our full potential. You, our incredible leaders, are truly making a great difference as you master techniques to achieve goals in your life and then help others as well. We love telling your stories on this blog. Platinum Dream Stories: Ray and Barbara Meurer

We thought it would be great to feature the dream stories of our six Platinum International Diamonds, and we'd love to start with the very first distributors to achieve this prestigious rank, Ray and Barbara Meurer. Ray's enthusiasm for 4Life and 4Life Transfer Factor^® has fueled 4Life's success from the very beginning. He is a mover and shaker, with a wonderful heart to match his vision. Ray is also blessed to be married to an incredible woman of great ability and compassion. Ray and Barbara make a great team.

Our path to success wasn't easy. Being something of an unstructured soul, I became "unemployable" at a young age. Bouncing in and out of jobs, I couldn't seem to make anything stick. I found myself close to despair as I fell deeper and deeper into what I considered absolute failure. It was at this point that I learned about 4Life.

I was initially uninterested in the 4Life opportunity, but after receiving several calls, I finally agreed to read about the product. When I did so, I felt that if the science translated into real health benefits, 4Life Transfer Factor would be revolutionary. I decided to start building a business. My team and I talked to people on the phone, built relationships, and sent out our materials. I worked harder and harder every day, and I saw great leaps in my business and amazing results in the lives of those taking the products.

Barbara and I achieved Platinum International Diamond in 2004. We have created a successful business that has allowed us to live the kind of life we want, and spend time with each other and our children. My family is the driving force behind my business building. I wanted them to have the life I never had.

I've found a company to be with for the rest of my life. I'm not looking around, wondering whether the grass is greener somewhere else. If you would've told me that I'd get this far and still be this motivated, I would've thought you were crazy. But this is the real thing.

Happy February!

Can you believe it is already February? It seems to be one of those little months that sneaks in and sneaks out. Before February, you're in the midst of winter, but after it, there is the hope of spring. We like February for that reason. It is a bridge between winter and spring. It can be a very important month to get a jump on things, so to speak. January is often spent recovering and re-grouping after the holidays and March puts us into the thick of spring activities. So, February can be a great month to nestle in, dig down deep, and get to work. Many schoolteachers say it is one of the most productive months of the year in a child's learning curriculum. For 4Life distributors, it's the perfect opportunity to pull out that list of goals you made in January and get a lot of them done.

In the United States and Canada, we celebrate February 2 as Groundhog Day. On this day, if a groundhog emerging from its burrow fails to see its shadow, tradition says that winter will end soon. If the groundhog sees its shadow, supposedly winter will continue for six more weeks. Many of us are familiar with the film called Groundhog Day. In this story, the main character keeps re-living the same awful day until he figures out how to get it right. Perhaps you may sometimes feel that day after day, year after year, you are trapped by the same weaknesses.

We want you to know that the most powerful force in the world is an individual's desire to change and do better. Decide now to make February your "bridge" month—the bridge from inefficiency to productivity, and from negativity to optimism. Decide today to reach the goals that you desire.

More Help for Haiti

We would be remiss if we didn't highlight the extraordinary support for Haiti that was organized by 4Life distributors in the Caribbean. In the Dominican Republic, Gold International Diamond Esdras Cabrera Alberto led Foundation 4Life^® relief efforts by securing numerous supplies, including bread, powdered milk, water, ready-to-eat meat, and many other essential items. A team of distributors worked long hours to assemble over 1,200 family packs of life-essential foods that would be ready to eat upon delivery. This was critical since the earthquake left nearly all Haitians without the basic conveniences of home.

Following their weekly meeting in Santo Domingo, distributors loaded a large truck bound for the Haitian border. At approximately 1:00 am, a convoy of vehicles headed for a small town just outside Port au Prince called Carrefour, where there is a small pocket of 4Life distributors. With the assistance of prearranged military protection, the 4Life team traveled smoothly to the destination, providing over 1,200 patiently-waiting families with their first sign of food assistance since the quake.

The International Networkers Team in Puerto Rico also made a significant contribution to the Haiti relief efforts, organized by Platinum International Diamonds Dr. Herminio Nevárez and Yadira Olivo. They encouraged distributors to bring supplies such as bottled water, clothing, powdered milk, diapers, and canned food to two 4Life meetings in Puerto Rico. After distributors sorted through donations, International Diamond Orville Pacheco worked with the mayor of Fajardo, Puerto Rico to have a truck pick up the supplies and deliver them to the dock. The container was then sent via ship to Haiti.

We are so grateful for all of the amazing support that has been provided by 4Life distributors in the past few weeks. It was wonderful to witness so many of you immediately step in to reach out to people that were desperately in need of assistance. Thank you, thank you for all that you do!

United in Our Desire to Bless Lives

No matter where you live in the world, it would be difficult not to know about the terrible devastation experienced by the people in Haiti as a result of the recent earthquake there. It seems that very little time passes in today's world without us being reminded of how much we need each other. It is times like these that we are so grateful to be part of the 4Life family. Not long after hearing about the earthquake and seeing some of the devastation on television, we learned that 4Life Gold International Diamond Esdras Cabrera Alberto from the Dominican Republic was already working on plans to drive a truck to Haiti with emergency supplies. We also saw that 4Life International Diamond Felipe Rivera from Utah posted information on an international website, encouraging others to get involved with Foundation 4Life^® and help people in Haiti.

The pain and sense of utter helplessness that we feel when we watch the news is something that none of us can escape. Sometimes we have to just turn off the news because it is so hard to watch people suffering—especially children—and not be able to help. Our pain has been softened by knowing that you are all out there as well. We are united as a 4Life family in our desire to bless lives and build people. As 4Life continues to grow, as it has in remarkable ways this past year, we will likewise increase in our ability to help when help is needed. This is what life is all about. This is what 4Life is all about. Life is precious. Life is fragile. But the love and caring of good people working together is strong... strong enough to make a real difference.

Re-connect With Your Dreams

Recently, we were reminded of an idea expressed in The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Coelho writes that when we really desire something with all of our hearts, the whole universe will conspire together to make that which we desire into a reality. As we talked about this, we both could think of times in our lives when this truly has come to pass. If you want to experience this in your own life, you need to have a desire that is not just a casual wish. This desire must be something that burns deep within your soul—something that you believe will help make the world a better place.

We have witnessed this principle come to fruition in our own lives. On more than three occasions, we have met and become good friends with people whose creations have touched our lives deeply. Almost through no effort on our own, these individuals have become a part of our lives. It is though we were bound to become associated with them because of the strong connection we share on an emotional and spiritual level. Some call this the law of attraction or Karma—we like to think of it as just good old fashioned faith.

Whatever you choose to call it, we believe it is a force for good that can bring about many great things. When you allow those hopes and dreams that lie deep in your heart to come to the forefront, and choose to do all in your power to work to bring them about, then good things can happen. Don't let fear or negativity get in the way of that positive energy that flows from a person when they focus on the goal of blessing lives and making the world a better place.
