In January of this year, Foundation 4Life^® donated $18,750 USD to the non-profit organization Feed The Children to help pay for wood materials, various tools, and financial and transportation assistance for a new carpentry/vocational school in the municipality of Omoa, Honduras. On February 5, 4Life Senior Vice President of Marketing Trent Tenney and Foundation 4Life Director Tracie Kay joined Feed the Children representatives and local government leaders to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the school. As the program succeeds, community leaders look forward to enlarging the facility and increasing the number of students who can enroll in these training courses. And, the school hopes to offer micro credit loans to students upon course completion that will allow them to start their own small businesses. Classes will begin in early March, with 20 boys and girls.

Trent and Tracie also traveled to La Ceiba and Tegucigalpita, Honduras, to present 2,000 school kits (assembled by 4Life distributors and executives at BIG Convention 2010) and over 1,200 school uniforms to children at five schools. The school kits and uniforms lessen the financial burden that families feel, which often causes them to exclude their children from attending school because they can't afford simple supplies. For nearly every child, the school kit they received is the first time they have ever owned something new—something of their own.

And last—but certainly not least—including our initial donation in Honduras in August 2010, 4Life and our distributors have donated over 1.4 million 4Life Fortify^® meals to children in countries such as Ecuador, Honduras, Philippines, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Happy Heart Month!

In the United States, February is American Heart Month. Special events and programs throughout the month provide Americans with a great chance to take a look at their family history, diet, and lifestyle choices to determine if they're doing everything they can to support the health of their hearts.

Most likely, each of us has been touched in a personal way by heart disease. Bianca's father died when she was nine years old due to problems with his heart that could have been mitigated with the proper education and care. And even though we have made great strides in diagnostic techniques and surgical procedures, we still have a long way to go in terms of making healthy personal choices. The good news is that people want to be more proactive in learning how to support their cardiovascular systems.

I learned about 4Life from Platinum International Diamond Juan Rosado. I was impressed with the compensation plan and the idea of residual income. I was also impressed with 4Life's executive management and worldwide growth. And, I loved the fact that through 4Life, I could be involved in service endeavors.

My life has done a full 180, thanks to the decision I made to join 4Life. I have more time, more money, and a different life to share with my family. Above all, I have grown personally along the way. I think and act differently. I learn more every day.

Spotlight on Gold International Diamonds Jeanny Serra and Manny López

This is the first of several spotlights on Gold International Diamonds that have achieved the rank within the last few months. We're grateful for the commitment of Jeanny Serra and Manny López of Puerto Rico. They have steadfastly worked toward achieving their dreams and we're so proud!

We were introduced to 4Life during the most difficult time in our lives. We were both working and studying in order to care for our children and try to provide them with a better future. When Gold International Diamond Rafaela Santiago told us about 4Life, I instantly saw that it was an opportunity whereby I could make my dreams come true. After watching as a spectator for a period of time, my husband Manny joined me in our business.

Today, our lifestyle is different. We are better human beings. We no longer have to worry about economic problems or how to find extra time to see our children. Instead, we spend each day showing our family that dreams can come true. Above all, the power to help other families obtain what we have achieved fills us with joy. 4Life has taught us that the purpose of our lives is to help and inspire others to grow.

Don't you love new beginnings? Have you ever thought about how hard life would be if it was made up of one long day? We all need a way to measure our hours, days, months, and years. Being able to put an end to one day, month, or year allows us to make a new beginning. It enables us to evaluate and measure our progress, and make goals for the future.

Sometimes people say that making New Year's resolutions depresses them because they feel as if they make the same ones over and over again. Have you ever considered that this can be a good thing and not a sign of failure? It shows that you are consistent and persistent in the things you want to accomplish.

We invite you to join us in the challenge of taking some time—if you haven't already done so—to meditate, pray, and talk with those closest to you about what you can do this year to experience greater personal growth. Determine the most important desires of your heart and then set some reachable and realistic goals that will take you closer to those dreams.
